Field Trip to Heckrodt Wetland Reserve
October 31 @ 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm CDT
Our Explorer and Challenge Teams have been enjoying this season’s biodiversity theme. To take their learning beyond the classroom, we’re excited to offer a special field trip to Heckrodt Wetland Reserve on October 31 from 1:30–3:30 PM.
From 1:30–2:15 PM, students will join a guided hike led by a Heckrodt Staff Naturalist. Along the way, they’ll explore biodiversity in the natural world, learn about local ecosystems, and discover some of the challenges facing plants, animals, and their habitats today.
After the guided hike, students will have time to explore the reserve, enjoy the playground, and have fun together in nature.
This field trip is a great opportunity for students to connect what they’ve been learning with real-world observations while spending time outdoors with their teammates.
Date: October 31
