For the 2025–2026 season\, the global theme is UNEARTHED™\, which focuses on how innovation and history connect generations. \n\n\n\nFLL Explore Festival (Ages 6–10)The Explore Festival is a non-competitive\, celebratory event designed for younger children to share their learning through a thematic project.Team Model: Teams build a LEGO model that includes a motorized part and at least one simple machine\, typically using the LEGO Education SPIKE™ Essential kit.Show Me Poster: Students create a poster to document their research on the season’s theme and explain their design process.Reviewing: Volunteer “Reviewers” interview teams about their creations\, focusing on their communication and problem-solving skills rather than “winning”.Atmosphere: Festivals are low-pressure events often featuring music\, hands-on activity stations\, and a group celebration where every student is recognized.

DESCRIPTION:The match and judging schedule will be published at least one week before the event. \n\n\n\nApril 18th\, 2026 / Brookfield East High School / Brookfield\, WIFIRST is the world’s leading youth robotics community\, delivering hands-on STEM learning that inspires innovation\, builds confidence\, and prepares kids for life. Across the globe\, students thrive in our programs — powered by mentorship\, teamwork\, creativity\, and engineering challenges. \n\n\n\nThis year\, the FIRST Lego League Challenge theme is UNEARTHED. This post-season competition will build on that robotics game challenge and infuse Wisconsin-centric chaos for a truly memorable event. In addition\, teams will compete for the FIRST WI FLL Ambassador award – showcasing a team who truly embodies the core values of FIRST robotics. \n\n\n\nWe are excited to have 13 teams join us for this udderly chaotic special event! \n\n\n\nFLL Challenge (Ages 9–14)While Challenge divisions primarily participate in competitive tournaments\, major events like the World Festival serve as a massive showcase for these teams.Robot Game: Teams design\, build\, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO SPIKE Prime to complete missions on a themed playing field.Innovation Project: Students identify a real-world problem related to the theme (e.g.\, archaeology or history for UNEARTHED™) and develop a creative solution.Core Values: All participants must demonstrate the six Core Values: Discovery\, Innovation\, Impact\, Inclusion\, Teamwork\, and Fun.
